Lu Zhu is a very “inadequate” criminal policeman, and even Peng Guan Ying once felt that this role was more like a local policeman rooted in the streets, full of the flavor of the city. The director affirmed his perception, and the role of Lu Zhu was originally outlined according to the background of a local policeman. Later, in order to make the plot more in line with the judicial procedure, it was adjusted to a criminal policeman (in order to participate in more complex case investigations), but the interesting personality contrast of the character was still retained. This sense of contrast also aroused Peng Guan Ying’s strong desire to create.
When choosing a role, he always holds an expectation, hoping to present to the audience a character image that is fresh and groundbreaking.

Sự tự vấn không hồi kết ấy chính là động lực nghệ thuật giúp anh không ngừng vượt giới hạn. “Nhìn núi không phải là núi, nhìn nước không phải là nước”, mỗi giai đoạn bứt phá đều là quá trình phá vỡ và tái cấu trúc hệ thống nhận thức.
Là người có yêu cầu cao với bản thân, anh không muốn mãi ở trong vùng an toàn, lúc nào cũng muốn thử thách, muốn trưởng thành, chuẩn bị trước cho tương lai.
Bành Quán Anh hy vọng mình là một diễn viên luôn mang lại cảm giác mới lạ, nhưng “Khi có quá nhiều thử thách, anh nhận ra rằng những gì mình có thể làm được ngày càng ít đi”. Chính cảm giác bất an này lại thúc đẩy anh không ngừng học hỏi, mở rộng lối sống để làm mới bản thân “Quên đi những điều xưa cũ”, rút kinh nghiệm từ thất bại cũng tốt.
Dù vậy, việc liên tục tự soi chiếu bản thân chắc chắn khiến tinh thần mệt mỏi, điều này anh cũng không phủ nhận. Anh ngưỡng mộ những người có thể cân bằng lý tưởng và thực tế một cách nhẹ nhàng, còn với anh, sự điềm tĩnh đó vẫn là điều chưa thể chạm tới ở giai đoạn hiện tại.
Nhưng liệu sự nhất quán có thực sự cần thiết?
Bành Quán Anh trả lời: “Sự nhất quán rất quan trọng, nhưng không nhất quán cũng không sao”.
Anh chấp nhận tất cả mâu thuẫn trong mình, yếu đuối nhưng mạnh mẽ, cứng đầu nhưng cũng phóng khoáng. Tự phủ nhận cuối cùng cũng sẽ dẫn đến tự thừa nhận. “Tự nhất quán của tôi chính là học cách sống cùng mâu thuẫn. Không thể không suy nghĩ hoàn toàn, nhưng cũng không thể suốt ngày cứ suy nghĩ mãi. Đến lúc nên chơi thì chơi, lúc nên thả lỏng thì thả lỏng”.
Anh tin rằng thời gian sẽ mang đến câu trả lời. Trước đây chơi golf anh chỉ nghĩ xem ai đánh xa hơn. Nhưng rồi anh nhận ra golf cũng là trò chơi chiến thuật, mỗi cú đánh đều liên quan đến cú tiếp theo. Nếu cú này đánh không tốt, phải nghĩ chiến thuật tiếp theo là gì.
